Dear Kiln folk, meet Trello. Dear Trello folk, meet Kiln. If you all know each other already, then what are you waiting for? Just make sure you’re already logged in to Trello, go to any revision in your Kiln UI, and fearlessly press that “Connect to Trello” button!

The Kiln-to-Trello integration links a revision in Kiln to a card in Trello. In Kiln, you can see that a Trello card is attached to a particular revision:

kiln_trello_card

In Trello, you can see the Kiln revisions/changesets you’ve attached:

kiln_trello_attach

So how does it work? It’s easy. In Kiln, go to any changeset and click the the “Attach a Card” button. We’ll search through your Trello cards so you can attach the one you want:

An even better way of linking a revision to a card is to reference the Trello card’s unique id or include the full URL in your commit message:

card: NjWA9NN5
https://trello.com/c/NjWA9NN5/11-hello-world

We’ll process the commit message when you push to Kiln and automatically make the connection! It doesn’t get any easier than that!

If you’re already using Trello, but have yet to meet Kiln, then don’t hesitate to make the next move, and give Kiln a try for free!
