Release date: TBD

  • Major changes to the Iteration Planner and Kanban Board:
    • Instead of having one planner for each project, you can now show cases from a configurable list of projects on each planner. Create, rename and delete planners as needed [docs]
    • Like before, click through from a milestone on a planner to get to its kanban view. The multi-project setup carries into kanban as well [docs]
    • Cases and Columns can now be dragged and scrolled at the same time! It’s even easier than walking and chewing gum
  • Do you use daylight savings time? Your working schedule does too!
  • Postponed cases predictably reactivate on a single timer
  • Fix a bug where the scout occurrences field had HTML markup in CSV exports
  • Mailboxes with bad credentials are automatically disabled
  • Fixed permissions error with the xml api command listUpcomingHolidays
  • Fixed issue where Fogbugz wasn’t using the right date format when “Use browser format” was selected.
  • When selecting the project for a new case, only show projects that the user can edit.
  • Can no longer resolve a case as a duplicate of a nonexistent case.
  • Fixed issue where working on menu broke in certain situations
  • Can no longer add users past your current limit by converting virtual users to normal users.
  • Users with read-only permissions on some cases within a case hierarchy are again able to edit the cases for which they have permission to do so.
  • When editing cases, the drop-down menu for “Kanban Column” respects, nay, admires and emulates the left-to-right ordering specified on your Kanban Board(s)
  • Already using the Iteration Planner to order your backlog? You can also adjust the ordering right from the case list page, if you so desire.
  • Why stop at the case list page? Backlog order can also be edited on the case details page!
  • Full text searches that look for cases and wikis will now continue to look for wikis even after you save the search
  • Grammarians, rejoice! The case list page no longer describes sixty-minute time intervals as “1 hours”
  • Users with permission to read (but not edit) cases are no longer mislead by certain fields that used to suggest they could be edited
  • Anyone with customized categories will find the drop-down sorted correctly when using the quick-add function on the case list page
  • It is no longer possible to for a user to create multiple filters with the same name, no matter how hard you try. Anyone who previously managed to accomplish such a feat will find the most-recently edited filter of each name as the sole survivor.
  • Users unsuccessfully attempting to quick-add cases on the case list page now receive a more actionable error message
  • We’ve added a new “Release Notes” column to the case list page so compiling release notes (just like these ones!) is quicker and easier
  • Accounts configured to use SAML for login convenience can now also use the convenient “copy user” UI, for extra convenient user creation. Conveniently.
  • Using the API to create users? You’re even more secure because auto-generated passwords now adhere to the FogBugz “strict” password policy
  • Customizations with embarrassing, but understandable, typos (or other errors during load time) will now print error messages to the browser console instead of the less-than-helpful complete silence they experienced before.
  • More work-life balance! Mailboxes now take site-wide holidays into account when calculating automatic due-dates.
  • IE11 users attempting to use the conspicuous Kanban link in the header are now greeted by their Kanban Board, rather than an infinite progress bar
  • Stuck updating filters every time you start a new iteration? Try the new “milestoneDate” search axis to find cases based on the end date of the containing milestone. Pairs well with relative date ranges!
  • The handy dandy draggable filter menu items should be easily clickable, too… now they aren’t quite so quick to start dragging around
  • In preparation of some upcoming changes, Evidence Based Scheduling (EBS) now has a drop-down to quickly switch between projects
  • Fixed formatting for the assigned to/category/priority quick edit menus in the planner
  • Case statuses and estimates show properly in the planner again
  • Improve client performance for accounts with large numbers of users/projects
  • XML/JSON API: Added the listStarredItems/listFavorites command, as well as viewInterval, editInterval and deleteInterval
  • XML/JSON API: Admins can now set ixPerson to another user for newInterval, viewInterval, editInterval and deleteInterval
  • Automatic spam deletion now comes with a setting to never automatically delete spam. It’s your spam and you’ll delete if you want to!
  • A bunch of internal improvements to support future greatness
  • Additional performance improvements and bug fixes
